Pharmacist or GP? When to just ask us first
You do not always need an appointment and a waiting room. Here is when your local pharmacist can help you the same day.

Getting a GP appointment can mean waiting days, and often you do not need one at all. As pharmacists, we are highly trained healthcare professionals, and for a huge range of everyday complaints we can help you there and then, with no appointment and no charge for the advice.
What we can help with
You would be surprised how much your pharmacist can sort out. Come and talk to us about:
- Coughs, colds, sore throats, sinus problems and hay fever
- Skin conditions, bites, rashes, cold sores and minor infections
- Tummy troubles like reflux, constipation, diarrhoea and thrush
- Aches, pains, sprains and headaches
- Children's and baby ailments
- Emergency contraception and general medicines advice
Talking to our pharmacist never costs anything. You only pay for any product you decide to buy, and we will always tell you honestly if you do not need one.
When you should see your GP
Part of our job is knowing our limits and being straight with you. We will point you to your GP, or to urgent care, if:
- Your symptoms are severe, unusual or lasting longer than expected
- You have a high fever that will not settle
- You have chest pain, breathing difficulty or another red-flag symptom
- A child or baby is very unwell
Think of your pharmacist as the first, easiest stop. Often we can sort it in minutes. And when you do need a doctor, we will tell you plainly.
How to use us
Just call in and ask to speak with the pharmacist, or book a quick word online and tell us what it is about. We have a private consultation room for anything you would rather discuss discreetly.
